Veterans
My father is a combat-wounded Vietnam Veteran who lost his leg, so I truly understand the price paid by the brave men and women who defend this great nation. We owe our freedoms, so often taken for granted, to those who have defended us. The promises we make to our current and future veterans must be kept. Our veterans provided the very blanket of freedom under which we sleep; we must at the very least provide them the care necessary to ensure their livelihood, and our respect.
