Who We Are
Ministry in Action:
To the battered woman and her children, we are shelter and safety.
To the poor, the hungry, the homeless, we are help and hope.
To those faced with unplanned pregnancy, we are support and guidance.
To the immigrant, we are a path to acceptance and participation.
To the person immobilized by mental illness and addictions, we are a road to recovery.
To the troubled family, we are a way to come together.
Because we see injustice, we are a voice for social change.

Elkhorn native Kelsey, age 23, lives in New York City where she works full time at Rockefeller University, while she is finishing her masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In her spare time she is an avid runner and has competed in several marathons and ultramarathons, most recently the Boston Marathon in March.
Kelsey will be running for eight straight days in October from NYC to Washington D.C., a distance of 295 miles, to raise money for the Central Asia Institute to build schools and educate young people in Afghanistan and Pakistan. She is single handedly masterminding this feat, and hopes to engage as many folks as possible in support, in dollars and in spirit. We have no doubt she will persevere & finish. She is fit, trained, and dedicated, and gritty as can be, with a heart as big as the whole wide world.
